Salesforce Park Rooftop Party
The $2.3 Billion Transbay Transit Center is now officially named the ‘Salesforce Transit Center’ after Salesforce has invested $110 million into the project.
And it is a beauty, a 5.4-acre park with winding footpaths, botanical gardens with Chilean wine palms and Chinese elms – all on top on a rooftop! Designed by Pelli Clark Pelli Architects.
What’s more is The Salesforce Park, as it’s called, will be open to the public for a fete this Saturday, August 11, from noon to 4 p.m. There will be live music, arts and crafts, and food trucks hauled up to the roof! Revelers will also be able to see stunning city views and office towers like Slack and Instagram – the biggest names in tech. Bonus is a Ned Kahn-designed fountain triggered by passing buses, and you can play in the water!
At the bus deck, you will see where the buses roll out, and meet transit operators, check out the new stops, and see where most people will be spending their time at the new transit center.
Also, tour the Grand Hall – look for pop-up shops, more live music, and the massive and jaw-dropping new interiors, featuring one of the tallest escalators in the city.
Don’t miss the skylight showstopper, which allows diffused sunlight to fill the entire space.
The Salesforce Transit Center will be glorious.
