Building San Francisco’s ‘Last Waterfront Condo Complex’

It is dubbed as the “last true condominium complex” on San Francisco’s waterfront, and it will rise next year.

Developer John Buck Co. had asked Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) to design a handsome 20,595 sq. ft. building with 120 units right on San Francisco’s prime location on the waterfront.

Not only will it turn heads, the project will also provide jobs for over 200 union members before the work is completed late in 2019. Per the city’s permit reports, the general contractor is San Francisco-based Swinerton Builders.

Construction has already begun on the corner of Howard St and the Embarcadero.

People on the Bay Bridge will see it. Cruise ships, sailboats, ferries will see it, and it will certainly change the city’s skyline. It will be on the prime spot on the waterfront.

“This will be a very handsome building, a great addition to San Francisco,” said Michael Theriault from the San Francisco Building and Construction Trades Council, in an interview with KGO-TV.

The condo complex is a 20-story, $146 Million building that includes 120 housing units, retail space on the ground floor, and a posh restaurant.
